Behold, the Big Dumb Booster in all its 1:200 scale glory! This relatively niche rocket conceptualized by Robert Truax in 1962 was intended to lower the cost of accessing orbit by orders of magnitude by prioritizing simplicity over efficiency. Alas, this colossal rocket was never truly built, but it can live on in miniature size with this cool model! At approximately 75cm (29.53in) tall and 11.5cm (4.53in) in diameter, its certainly quite the sizable model. Its also 3d-printed, then hand sanded, painted, assembled, and decaled, allowing for a really good finish while allowing for a lot of detail. The model does have multiple configurations, it can be displayed all together, but the second stage and fairing can also separate, just as they did in the concept (though with a lot less complex separation hardware, and a lot more magnets).
